This position conducts investigations and assessments of complaints, requests, and referrals for service to determine if a child has been abused or neglected and the family's appropriateness for services to alleviate the circumstances which led to the abuse or neglect, as well as, performing mental health delegate services.

In this role you will receive 120 hours of training before working directly one on one with families.
In addition, while in training, we offer peer shadowing opportunities and experiences to enhance your knowledge in the diversity of services offered within Forest Warren Human Services.

Provides initial assessment in the areas of Children and Youth and Mental Health crisis.
Qualifications:
Caseworker 1:
A Bachelor's Degree which includes or is supplemented by successful completion of 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; OR Two years' experience as a Social Services Aide 3 and two years of college-level coursework which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; OR Any equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences and one year of experience as a Social Services Aide 3 or in a similar position performing paraprofessional case management functions.
Position requires applicant to pass Criminal History, Childline, and FBI clearances at time of hire.
Caseworker 2:
Six months as a Caseworker 1; OR Successful completion of the social casework intern program; OR A Bachelor's Degree with a social welfare or social work major; OR A Bachelor's Degree which includes or is supplemented by 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences and one year of professional social casework experience in a public or private social services agency; OR Any equivalent combination of experience and training, which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
