GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The LPN/CMA will interview the patient for pertinent medical, social and family history prior to the visit by the provider.
They will also determine the patient's reason for the visit and chief complaint.
The LPN/CMA will work closely with other members of the team to provide the best possible care to the Warren Medical Group patients.
JOB DUTIES:
Verifies patient information by interviewing patient, recording medical history; confirming purpose of visit Prepares patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests; taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature; reporting patient history summary Cleans and ensures patient rooms are properly / fully equipped prior to the patient being escorted to their room.
Updates health maintenance as indicated Documents patient's chief complaint / reason for visit Reviews chart for overdue labs/ procedures according to provider standing orders Performs nurse visits/ injections Responds to patient messages within 24 hours Ensures prescription refill requests are completed within 48 hours EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Active LPN license in the state of Pennsylvania, or registry eligible; OR nationally recognized medical assistant certification Job Type:
